Mets Morning News: Beltran & Reyes' Return, Carter Update

In his one and only rehab game with Brooklyn, Jose Reyes played six innings, and was 1-3 at the plate with a double and a run scored. He is expected to be back in the Mets lineup for tonight's game against the Cardinals.

Carlos Beltran is also expected to be back in the lineup Tuesday after missing the past three games with a virus.

According to ESPN New York, Gary Carter is making progress as he battles malignant brain tumors. In a private online journal, Carter's daughter, Kimmy Bloemers, writes that Carter was able to walk two miles on Monday:
"This is the longest walk since finding out about the cancer. He said to my mom that, 'This is the best I have felt in two months!' Wow, thank you Jesus for giving my dad a great day!"
Carter will undergo his final radiation therapy treatment today.
