A Little History
The Mets are 33-45 in Interleague Play with their crosstown rivals. Overall, the Yankees have dominated the Subway Series over the years, but the Mets played fairly well last season against the Yankees, finishing with a 12-6 record.
WHO'S HOT?
Justin Turner: In the past five games, Turner, who is batting .333, has driven in ten RBIs. Turner is also looking to break a Mets rookie record this weekend. He is one game shy of tying Ron Swoboda's record for driving in an RBI in consecutive games.
Mets Bullpen: The Mets bullpen has been dominant as of late. Francisco Rodriguez has recorded 14 straight saves and has not allowed a run in 18 innings, bringing his ERA to 0.83. Jason Isringhausen and Taylor Buchholz have both been impressive all season.
WHO'S NOT?
Mets Bench: The team has had a very weak bench for most of the season so far. The trio of Scott Hairston, Willie Harris, and the recently demoted Chin-lung Hu, have a combined .161 batting average.
Jason Bay: Despite going 3-4 in Thursday's game against the Nationals, Bay has been struggling. He is batting just .238 since returning from the disabled list.

The Subway Series always proves to be exciting, providing Mets fans with a postseason-like atmosphere. While I'm not a fan over Interleague Play overall, this series is one I look forward to each season.
Assuming the Mets can continue to get decent pitching from the starters and out of the bullpen, this should be a fun series to watch. Especially since the Yankees are the ones dealing with drama from all over the place as of late.
Ah, it's nice to be on the other side for once. Drama free's the way to be.
