Mets Morning News: Trading Wright, Turner's Award, and Roster Moves

According to Andy Martino of the Daily News, trading David Wright will not be easy for the Mets.
"The $16 million club option for 2013 belongs only to the Mets. If the Mets trade Wright this offseason, the acquiring club would control him for just one year, with no contract option for 2013. Wright would become a free agent after next season.

That information is a game-changer for the third baseman's trade value. It makes Wright a one-year rental, and reduces the package that the Mets could get in return."
Justin Turner has been named National League Rookie of the Month in May. He is the first Met to win the award since it began in 2001.
"It means I was good this month. It will be something really cool to look back on down the road, but now I've just got to show up tomorrow and get ready for tomorrow. There's no time to pat myself on the back."
Mike O'Connor was optioned to Triple-A Buffalo. Manny Acosta is expected to take his place on the roster.
