Angel Pagan is scheduled to return from the disabled list this weekend, and with that comes some roster moves.
The one name being tossed around to be sent down to Triple-A Buffalo is Jason Pridie. What about Chin-lung Hu, Willie Harris, and Scott Hairston though?
According to Ted Berg, this dream team off the bench has a combined .184/.264/.289 in 114 at-bats so far this season.
Hu has barely played, but the two who should be looked at as being sent down is Harris and Hairston.
Off the bench, Harris is hitting just .212, while Hairston is hitting .176.
Here's a radical thought, what about getting rid of those two guys, keeping Pridie on the bench, and bringing up players such as Nick Evans or Lucas Duda? The only downside of having both Pridie and Duda on the bench would be that each is a lefty. Duda and Evans have experience in the outfield and infield.
None of those three have proved to be fantastic pinch-hitters, but neither have Harris and Hairston, and something needs to change.
