Ike Davis Willing to Move

I read this quote a few weeks back, and with all of the Albert Pujols talk lately, I thought it was time to share.

Asked off-air by Evan Roberts if he would switch positions to make room for Pujols at first base, Ike Davis stated, "I'd be a (expletive) middle reliever to get Albert."

Nice.

Hey, he did pitch during his time at Arizona State and was said to hit 94 mph. He's already better than Oliver Perez.

Like I said the other day, Pujols has zero chance of coming to New York. If he did, however, the logical place to move Davis would be to right field.

Why right field? Well with Carlos Beltran's eventual departure, the Mets will be looking to fill the void.

He has experience playing there as well from his college days, and God willing, would be nothing like the Daniel Murphy experiment from two years back.

Davis is a solid defensive player, and the Mets could use an arm like his in the outfield.
