The Cyclones trailed early, but rallied to beat the Renegades 7-4.
Here are some photos...
Brandon Nimmo went 0-3 at the plate with two walks. In 63 games with Brooklyn this season, Nimmo is hitting .260 with 5 home runs and 37 RBIs.
Cyclones starter Gabriel Ynoa went five innings, giving up two runs on four hits, while walking two and striking out four. Ynoa is 5-1 with a 2.26 ERA.
Philip Evans at the plate. Evans was 1-4 with a run scored and two strikeouts. He is hitting .242 in 2012.
Finally, here is the Cyclones bullpen. It looks as though John Mincone (2nd from left) is preparing to take flight.
Overall, it was a decent game. Gavin Cecchini, the Mets' top 2012 draft pick was hit by a pitch. He appeared to be hit in the hand. He tossed his helmet in frustration while the trainers checked him out. Eventually, everyone agreed he would survive and he made his way to first base.
Brooklyn is currently four games behind the Renegades in the standings in the McNamara Division of the New York Penn League. They lead the Batavia Muckdogs (St. Louis affiliate) by two games in the Wild Card standings.
