The Mets announced today that Banner Day will be held on Sunday, May 27 before the 1:10 p.m. game against the Padres.
Banner Day is being brought back as part of the Mets 50th Anniversary celebration.
From 1963 to 1996, Mets fans would take to the field to show off their homemade banners, which depicted their love for the team.
These days, I'm a little concerned as to what might appear on some of the banners. If they're anything like most of your tweets, it's going to be an angry Banner Day.
